I have had it tuned up in the past just for the sake of keeping it in good shape. It's dirty - hasn't been detailed ever. It is 30 years old so obviously hasn't had a lot of road use but has some scratches on the frame where I fell over trying to get off. It is a 12 speed, red and black with grey lettering.
This is what I can see written on the bike: Shimano brakes, Reynolds 531 Double-Butted steel, Kalloy Handlebars, Chromoly Steel frame, Vetta seat, 700 x 23C wheel size, Armadillo Elite all condition dual compound and Specialized tires, Shimano bike pedals, Greenfield kickstand, Matrix Trans S 700C Rims (hard anodized) with 115-125 PSI tires, CR-MO Chrome Molybdenum forks & stays and Mallard Hubset. The spec sheet I looked up online says 14G Stainless Steel spokes, etc. Finally, I would never sell it if I could get on and off without pain. I would consider a trade for a comparable bike that doesn't have a high bar. The item "Trek Elance 400 Vintage Road Racing Bike / 12-Speed Original Owner" is in sale since Friday, July 26, 2019.
